strings strings strings!

after i made up a string block as a sample block for my month in the great white north bee, i've been absolutely addicted to making these super easy and fun blocks.  i even went and bought some more fabrics because i thought that some colours were a little underwhelmed (i have a lot of greens in my stash).  here is all of the fabrics pulled for my first string quilt, they are all polka dot fabrics or fabrics with some kind of variations of dots!

during this past week, whenever i got a few minutes, i would run up to my sewing room and start stringing away these fun blocks, it's very hard to stop!  since mom has been hinting that she wanted a new and bigger quilt (the first one i made her was a teeny tiny one when i first started sewing), so this quilt will be hers!  i showed her a quick peek yesterday, she loved it!!  it's looking great so far and i'm so excited to getting it finished!  i'm already contemplating different options on how to quilt it.
