and speaking of quilting bees, you have to check out erin's new blog quilting bee blocks, she's got some great info on the workings of virtual quilting bees, and she's got a master list of ALL the vqb's out there!! i'm on the hunt for my first bee after visiting erin's blog, maybe she'll inspire you to join a bee too!
最近一直在想着各种各样的星星方块儿,我现在想找一个quilting bee和其他的缝纫爱好者交换花布,互相帮忙一起做花被子。我要是找到了一个参加,我的花被子就会是星星的主体。

Uhhh.... So I assume this "bee" you speak of isn't the "bumble" kind?
ReplyDeletelol, it's not of the bumble kind. a quilting bee is where a group of people (usually 12) make quilt blocks for one another. each person will have a month where they decide what kind of block they want to make and sends the fabrics to the rest of the group (or bee). everyone in the bee will make the block according to that person's instructions and her fabrics, then sends the completed blocks back. it's like getting someone else to help make your quilt blocks for you, but in turn you will have to help out everyone else.
ReplyDeletei'm very excited about this. i've found a bee but we need more people to join to make 12 people.
Ohhhhh, that' really cool! Hooray for collaboration! If I knew how to sew, and were in Toronto, I'd be totally up for that. Hehe
